LEICESTER are sweating on the fitness of Ty Proctor ahead of Tuesday’s Championship Grand Final at Glasgow (7.30).
The Australian’s shoulder popped out in a Heat 10 coming together with Sam Jensen in Saturday’s first leg and has experienced discomfort since.
He’s been forced to miss Peterborough’s final fixture of the season at Wolverhampton on Sunday and has secured a physio session on Monday.
Said Proctor: “Because I didn’t fall off, not too many people may have noticed what actually happened.
“Sam Jensen made a mistake and hit me quite hard in the first corner and my shoulder actually popped out.
“I hung on at the time because the race was so important but I was in a lot of discomfort.
“When I came back in I went straight to the medics room and it took about 10 minutes to pop it back in.
“At this stage I’d say I’m 50/50 for the second leg but I’m having some physio on Monday and if that goes well then hopefully I’ll be good to ride.
“I know how important Tuesday is and it goes without saying I’d love to be a part of it if I can but we’ll have to wait and see.”
The Watling JCB Lions will be aiming to defend a 12-point lead in Scotland following their impressive 51-39 victory at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena on Saturday.
